Train In My Shoes | Campaign

The brief outlined a critical issue: since early 2021, there has been a troubling rise in anti-transgender legislation within the United States of America. Our mission was to select a specific area of this issue and develop a strategy to generate meaningful dialogue and drive actionable change to address the injustices faced by the transgender community.

We chose to focus on the impact of sports laws and crafted a multifaceted solution to raise awareness and foster discussion. Our approach included creating a series of art installations that featured exhibitions dedicated to the stories and achievements of prominent transgender athletes and outreach to create school programs/exhibitions to foster safe environments to have those conversations among the next generation of lawmakers. In addition, we invited individuals to contribute their own customized shoes and personal testimonials. These contributions were showcased on a dedicated website we developed, allowing people to share their perspectives and support for the transgender community.

This comprehensive strategy aimed to highlight the personal and societal ramifications of discriminatory sports laws and encourage a broader, more empathetic conversation that could lead to meaningful legislative reform.

Above are the deliverables I was responsible for, below is our group’s entire presentation deck and underneath that is the campaign launch video I created.
